California
A collegiate design-and-build competition focused on sustainable housing.

Bold Ideas Build Brighter Futures
The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon challenges university teams to design and build model sustainable homes that address climate change and California’s housing needs. Teams will build innovative, market-ready homes to display in a Solar Village which will be open to the public.

Attend The Event
The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon will take place at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA, in October 2023, and will feature a wide variety of vendors, entertainment, and events.
Team Support from California
The Orange County Sustainability Decathlon is made possible by a grant from the California legislature championed by State Senator Dave Min. Eighteen teams have been selected to participate and each will receive $100,000 to help fund their project.
